Track & Field
The 1957 Manasquan High School Track Team was one of the most accomplished in school history, winning the Monmouth-Ocean County Championship, the Shore Conference Championship, and the Central Jersey Group III Championship under coaches William Bechtloff and George Bower.
The team was stacked with future Hall of Famers and record holders. Paul Richard set school records in the Pole Vault, Low Hurdles, and Long Jump and went on to become the Pole Vault Coach at Rutgers University. Dave Lewis held the MHS Half Mile record for an extraordinary 52 years. Bill Robbins ran the 100-yard dash in 10.1 seconds — the second fastest in all of New Jersey, behind only world record holder Frank Budd. Doug Deicke was part of the 1958 football "Touchdown Twins" with Vic Kubu.
The 1957 team's combination of talent, depth, and championship performances across multiple events made them one of the defining track squads in Warriors history.

Coached by William Bechtloff and George Bower — a team that produced future Olympians and record holders.
