The 2006 Manasquan Football Team delivered another championship season under the direction of legendary Head Coach Vic Kubu, capturing the Central Jersey Group II State Championship and the Shore Conference Championship.
The squad was loaded with future Hall of Famers: Michael Mele (2022 HOF) set Manasquan records for career rushing yards (4,190) and touchdowns (56) and earned the Peter Blocksom Roetzel Award that season; Bradford Newman (2023 HOF) set school records for career sacks (29.5) and was named Asbury Park Press Shore Conference Player of the Year; and Ryan McGrath (2018 HOF) was a standout multi-sport contributor who later returned as the Warriors lacrosse head coach.
The 2006 team was inducted into the Manasquan Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2017, representing yet another championship chapter in the storied Vic Kubu coaching era.
