Amy Hamilton Certo

Amy Hamilton Certo was one of the most accomplished three-sport athletes in Manasquan High School history, earning 9 varsity letters across softball, field hockey, and basketball and receiving the Dorothy Emerson MHS Outstanding Female Athlete Award.

As a catcher on the softball team for four years, Certo was outstanding at the plate and behind it. She compiled a career batting average of .503 on 136 hits with 71 RBIs, earning 1st Team All-Division and 1st Team All-Monmouth County recognition as a senior in 1994. She was team captain her senior year and earned her first All-Division and All-Shore Conference honors as a junior in 1993.

In field hockey, Certo earned even more recognition, culminating in a 1993 All-State award along with 2nd Team All-Monmouth and 2nd Team All-Shore honors. She served as team captain and won the Offensive Player Award in 1993. She rounded out her career with two years of varsity basketball, including a 1992 NJSIAA CJ Group II Championship.
