Barbara Friedrich-Parsinski

Barbara Friedrich-Parsinski stands alone at the pinnacle of Manasquan High School athletic achievement. Coached at MHS by the legendary George Bower, Friedrich discovered her extraordinary talent for the javelin and dedicated herself to reaching the world stage.


In 1967, she set a world record in the javelin throw at 198'8" — a mark that was never surpassed by any Manasquan athlete. The following year, she represented the United States at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, fulfilling a dream shared by thousands of athletes worldwide.


Friedrich-Parsinski also captured a gold medal at the Pan-American Games, cementing her status as one of the finest track and field athletes of her generation and the greatest Warrior of all time.
