Brian Lee

Brian Lee’s Hall of Fame career reflects the full meaning of Manasquan athletics: excellence as a player, leadership as a coach, and dedication as an educator.

A member of the Class of 1994, Lee was a standout in both baseball and football. On the baseball field, he became one of the top catchers in school history. A three-year varsity starter and team co-captain, Lee finished his Manasquan career with a .407 batting average, 77 RBIs, 101 hits, 10 home runs, 69 runs scored, a .491 on-base percentage, and six triples. His career totals placed him among the best in program history, including top-five rankings in batting average, RBIs, hits, at-bats, and home runs.

Lee earned First Team All-Shore recognition as a junior in 1993, becoming the only non-senior selected to the entire All-Shore team that year. He also earned All-Division, All-County, All-Group II, and Shore Conference Carpenter Cup All-Star honors, cementing his place as one of the Shore’s premier baseball players.

On the football field, Lee was a versatile and valuable contributor to one of the great eras in Manasquan football history. He was part of state championship teams in 1991 and 1993 and contributed as a defensive back, wide receiver, special teams player, backup quarterback, and running back/fullback. He finished his football career with 10 interceptions, tied for fifth all-time in school history, and recorded five interceptions in 1993, tying the single-season school record.

After Manasquan, Lee continued his baseball career at Lynn University, where he played four seasons and appeared in 178 games. His transition from catcher to first baseman showcased his adaptability and athletic ability, and he finished his college career with strong production at the plate and elite fielding numbers.

Lee’s impact did not end after his playing career. He returned to Manasquan as a teacher, coach, and mentor, contributing to multiple football state championships as an assistant coach and helping guide the baseball program for more than two decades. His legacy is not only measured by records and championships, but by the generations of student-athletes he has influenced.
