Calvin Jones

Calvin Jones was one of the most prolific running backs in Manasquan High School history, accumulating 2,793 career rushing yards and 46 touchdowns — good for 246 career points. His scoring record included a single-season mark of 132 points, a single-game record of 30 points, and 5 touchdowns in one game.

His excellence earned him the 1991 Peter Blocksom Roetzel Award as MHS's outstanding male student-athlete, along with Asbury Park Press All-State, 1st Team All-Shore, and 1st Team C-South honors. Jones had earned his first All-Conference recognition as early as 1989.

At the University of New Hampshire, Jones transitioned to wide receiver and earned 1st Team All-ECAC recognition in 1996, demonstrating the elite athleticism he first displayed on the fields of Manasquan.
