Carol Lee Hughes made history at Manasquan High School by becoming the first player in the girls basketball program to score 1,000 career points. She finished her career with 1,176 points, a remarkable achievement that set the benchmark for generations of Warriors who followed.
Hughes's scoring ability and consistency made her one of the Shore Conference's most respected players during her career. Her induction into the Hall of Fame recognizes not only her personal excellence but her pioneering role in establishing the tradition of Manasquan girls basketball.
