Erin Smith

Erin Smith was the dominant field hockey player in the Shore Conference during her time at Manasquan High School, leading both Monmouth County and the Shore Conference in scoring in back-to-back seasons — her junior (1994-95) and senior (1995-96) years.

As a junior she earned 3rd/4th Team All State, 1st Team All Group II All State, 1st Team All Shore, and 1st Team All Monmouth County honors. As a senior, she elevated her game further, earning 2nd Team All State, 1st Team All Group II All State, 1st Team All Shore, and 1st Team All Monmouth County recognition, along with the Shore Conference Player of the Year award and helping lead MHS to the CJ Group II Sectional Championship.

The jersey Shore Sports Hall of Fame named Smith their High School Athlete of the Year — the highest regional honor of her career. She also earned 1st Team All Shore honors in softball and played varsity basketball, making her one of the most versatile and accomplished athletes in school history.
