MANASQUAN ATHLETICS
HALL OF FAME

John Ervin
2014
Football
John Ervin was a pioneering quarterback at Manasquan High School during the early 1970s, when the forward pass was less common in high school offenses. His willingness to throw the ball helped transform the Warriors' offense and resulted in a school record for career pass attempts with 338 — a mark that stood for decades.
Ervin's ability to read defenses and deliver the ball accurately made him a Shore Conference standout. His induction into the Hall of Fame recognizes his individual excellence and his role in shaping the direction of Manasquan football.
