John Kenney was a multi-sport athlete at Manasquan High School, graduating in the Class of 1959. His class holds a unique place in MHS history as the last graduating class to include Wall Township students — Wall High School opened in September 1959, ending the longstanding arrangement that sent Wall students to Manasquan.

Kenney's athletic accomplishments at MHS earned him induction into the Manasquan Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. His specific sports and individual honors reflect the competitive Warrior tradition of his era.
