John Snyder was one of the most dynamic baseball players in Manasquan High School history. His blazing speed on the bases resulted in a school record 39 stolen bases — a mark that stood as the standard of excellence in the program.

On the mound, Snyder was equally impressive, throwing a no-hitter against St. Rose in 1982. He continued his baseball career at the University of New Mexico, where his talent earned him 1st Team All-WAC recognition in 1985 — confirming his status as one of the finest players MHS ever produced.
