Lance Simek was a varsity wrestler at Manasquan High School, graduating in the Class of 1986. He belongs to the Simek wrestling family, which produced multiple accomplished wrestlers for the Manasquan program across more than a decade.
The Simek wrestling legacy at Manasquan includes Brad Simek (1976 District Champion at 141 lbs), Scott Simek (two-time District Champion 1979–1980 and 1980 Region 6 Champion), Lance in the mid-1980s, and Clint Simek (1988 District Champion at 152 lbs). The family name became synonymous with Manasquan wrestling excellence.
Lance's contributions to Warriors wrestling earned him induction into the Manasquan Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012 alongside his classmates from the Class of 2012 inductees.
