Tony Fleming

Tony Fleming was one of the most decorated football players in Manasquan High School history, earning Centennial All-American recognition from the Star-Ledger in his senior season of 1980. That year, he rushed for 1,013 yards in just 10 games — one of the finest single-season performances in MHS football history — and scored 144 points, making him the 5th leading scorer in the entire state of New Jersey.

Fleming's senior honors were extensive: First Team All-Shore and All-Shore Offensive Player of the Year from the Asbury Park Press, All Group 3 First Team and All-State Second Team Offense from the Star-Ledger, and a 1981 All-Shore Classic 4 Selection. He was part of Shore Conference B-South Championship teams in 1978, 1979, and 1980.

His career totals are equally impressive: 1,964 rushing yards, 783 career receiving yards, 11 touchdown receptions, and 164 career points. Fleming also earned 6 additional varsity letters in indoor and outdoor track and field, demonstrating the athleticism and work ethic that defined his time as a Warrior.
