Tony Smith

Tony Smith was a four-sport varsity letter athlete who exemplified the Manasquan Warrior in every sense. A key contributor to the 1998 undefeated State Championship football team that went 12-0, Smith delivered perhaps his greatest performance on the biggest stage — rushing for more than 1,000 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns in the state final game.

Smith was named All-Monmouth County in football in 1998 and earned All Shore Academic Team recognition the same year. On the track, he made history in 1999 by breaking a 40-year-old Manasquan school record in the Men's 400 meters — one of the longest-standing records in the school's athletic history. He also received the Hal Manson Award in recognition of his all-around excellence.
