Troy Morgan was one of the most complete football players in Manasquan High School history, earning 8 varsity letters in football and track and field. A versatile athlete who played running back, wide receiver, and defensive back, Morgan dominated in every phase of the game.

On offense, he rushed for a 1,610-yard season in 2001 and accumulated 1,120 career receiving yards. On defense, he set school records that still stand: 17 career interceptions (1st all-time), 4 career interception return touchdowns (1st all-time), and 5 career kick/punt return touchdowns (1st all-time). His longest interception return of 99 yards is also a school record.

Morgan's 258 career points rank 3rd all-time at MHS. His individual excellence earned him the 2001 Peter Blocksom Roetzel Award, AP and Gannett 1st Team All-State recognition at running back, and the 2001-2002 Coast Star Male Athlete of the Year award.
