Walter Anderson was one of Manasquan's earliest athletic legends, earning All-State recognition in football during the late 1930s. His dominant play at MHS translated to an outstanding college career at Franklin & Marshall, where he was eventually inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame.
Anderson interrupted his post-athletic life to serve his country as a United States Marine during World War II. His distinguished record as both an athlete and a patriot made him a natural selection for the Manasquan Hall of Fame Class of 2014.
